
African entrepreneurs and startups working in the renewable energy sector are invited to apply for RAISEAfrica 2026 — the latest edition of the Renewables Accelerators for Innovative Startups and Entrepreneurs in Africa, launched by the RES4Africa Foundation.
Implemented with support from Enel Green Power and the European Investment Bank, and in collaboration with EY Foundation, EDP, The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, and SAICA Enterprise Development, the programme supports young innovators driving Africa’s energy transition from early-stage ideas through to scalable, impactful businesses.
Up to six startups or entrepreneurs will be selected to join the programme, each receiving an entry contribution of €3,000 and the opportunity to compete for the Young Talent of the Year Award, carrying a final prize of between €5,000 and €10,000.
Who Can Apply:
- Individuals aged 18 to 35
- African citizens or startups registered in Africa
- Ventures developing innovative solutions for the African renewable energy market — from early-stage ideas to more advanced projects
- Proficient in English
Selected participants receive:
- Entry contribution of €3,000
- Eligibility to compete for the Young Talent of the Year Award (€5,000–€10,000)
- Mentoring and coaching from industry experts
- Networking opportunities and visibility within the energy ecosystem
- Fundraising support and connections to key stakeholders
- Opportunities to participate in international energy events
