Ban Ki-moon Foundation Global Citizen Scholarship Program [Deadline: March 5]

The Ban Ki-moon Foundation is now accepting applications for the 9th round of its Global Citizen Scholarship Program. The scholarship is a fully virtual initiative designed to empower young changemakers to take practical action toward achieving one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The program supports participants in proposing and implementing a localized changemaker project within their communities. In addition to project development, scholars benefit from peer-to-peer mentoring, expert-led workshops, and a summer school component delivered in partnership with Management Center Innsbruck (MCI) University.

The 2026 cohort will consist of 16 young changemakers, joined by one MCI University student, forming a group of 17 participants.

Who Can Apply:

The scholarship is open to young changemakers aged 20–35 from the following African countries: Cameroon, Ethiopia, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.

Applicants should demonstrate commitment to advancing one or more SDGs through community-based initiatives and be willing to actively participate throughout the duration of the program.
