
Applications are open for the Learn Africa Programme 2026, an initiative by the Women for Africa Foundation supporting African women to access higher education, research opportunities, and leadership development.
Since its launch, the programme has supported over 460 African women, strengthening their role as drivers of social and economic transformation across the continent.
The 2026 edition expands its reach with more than 100 scholarships, including continuation awards and new opportunities across a growing number of disciplines.
Programme Overview
The Learn Africa Programme connects African women with leading universities and academic institutions in Spain and beyond, offering opportunities to pursue undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies.
This year’s edition introduces expanded collaborations with institutions such as:
- EADA Business School
- Planeta Formación y Universidades
- FUNIBER / European University of the Atlantic
- Institute of Natural Resources and Agrobiology of Seville (IRNAS)
The programme also introduces new study areas, including paramedical health, alongside continued focus on health, technology, and research-driven disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a woman with nationality and residence in an African country
- Be enrolled in an African university or hold a degree from one
