The Government of the Republic of Mauritius invites applications from deserving students who are resident citizens of African Union or African Commonwealth countries for the Mauritius‑Africa Scholarship Scheme (MASS) 2026, supporting full‑time on‑campus undergraduate and postgraduate study at public higher education institutions in Mauritius.
Eligibility:
- Undergraduate candidates must be above 18 and under 26 years of age by 1 January 2027.
- MPhil, MPhil/PhD, and PhD candidates must be under 40 years of age by 1 January 2027.
- Applicants must have already applied for a full‑time on‑campus programme (Diploma, Degree, MPhil or PhD) at a public institution in Mauritius for the 2026 academic year.
What the Scholarship Covers:
The scholarship supports tuition fees and contributes to living expenses during study, and covers a return airfare by the most economical route from the home country to Mauritius and back upon completion.
Submission Requirements:
Applications must be made through a nominating agency in the applicant’s home country (typically the Ministry of Education) and include all required documentation as specified in the guidelines.
Deadline for Endorsed Applications:
Completed and endorsed applications must be submitted by 27 March 2026 to the Ministry of Tertiary Education, Science and Research, Republic of Mauritius via studymauritius@govmu.org
