About the Innovation Seed Fund
The Innovation Seed Fund supports early-stage projects developed by students seeking to translate ideas into practical solutions for Africa. Selected applicants present their projects as part of the Oxford Africa Conference and receive feedback from experts and partners.
Proposals are welcomed across multiple focus areas:
- Governance and institutional development
- Entrepreneurship and enterprise growth
- Arts, media and cultural industries
- Sustainable energy and climate innovation
- Economic development strategies
- Artificial intelligence and digital technology ecosystems
Shortlisted candidates from Africa will attend a pitch preparation webinar before presenting their ideas during the Oxford Africa Conference.

Eligibility:
- Applicants may apply individually or in teams of up to three members.
- Must be current students or recent graduates (within one year)
