The MultiChoice Group Talent Factory (MTF) is now accepting applications for its 2026 intake, offering a fully funded, 12-month professional filmmaking programme designed to develop Africa’s next generation of film and television storytellers.
Through a blend of structured theory and intensive hands-on production, the programme equips aspiring filmmakers with practical skills, industry exposure, and access to professional creative networks. Training is delivered through MTF academies in Kenya, Nigeria, Zambia, and South Africa, with eligibility open to applicants from 14 African countries.
Participants receive training across key filmmaking disciplines including scriptwriting, cinematography, directing, production management, and post-production, guided by experienced, practicing industry professionals. Upon completion, participants outside South Africa receive a university-accredited certificate from partner institutions, including the University of Zambia, Kenyatta University, and Pan Atlantic University.
