Collective Mind is recruiting experienced practitioners worldwide for its Collaboration Fellowship, a year-long programme that will bring people working with networks, coalitions, alliances and partnerships into the development of a new collaboration tool known as the Collective Mind Compass.
Collective Mind is a social enterprise focused on strengthening the effectiveness and impact of networks. Its new Compass is being developed as a human-driven, community-based and AI-enabled platform providing practical support to people working collaboratively, with particular attention to strategy, resource mobilisation, and monitoring, evaluation and learning.
How the Fellowship Works
The fellowship runs in two phases.
- Co-Creation — September 2026 to February 2027: Fellows contribute practical knowledge and experiences to the development of the Compass through formats such as case studies, interviews and guided workflows. Participants must make at least two contributions during this phase to qualify for the next stage.
- Community Building — March to August 2027: Fellows receive free access to the Compass and engage with other practitioners, experts and users as the platform develops.
Who Should Apply
The fellowship is open to experienced practitioners anywhere in the world who work in or alongside networks, coalitions, alliances, partnerships or other collaborative organisations.
This makes the programme accessible to practitioners across Africa working in civil society networks, development partnerships, advocacy coalitions, alliances and other collaborative structures.
Applicants should be prepared to contribute their own professional experience to the co-creation process, particularly around strategy, resource mobilisation, and monitoring, evaluation and learning.
What Fellows Receive
- Collaboration Fellows receive six months of free access to the Compass following its launch, alongside learning resources, AI-enabled coaching tools, discussions and events.
- The fellowship also provides opportunities for participants to be recognised as contributors, have their work shared through Collective Mind’s channels, participate as experts in discussions and events, and connect with a global community of collaboration practitioners.
- Collective Mind says Fellows will retain the designation beyond the programme, with opportunities for continued engagement with its community.
