Young and emerging agripreneurs working across the cashew value chain can apply for the third 2026 submission window of the e-MOVE AgriCanvas Competition, with winners receiving financial or digital support to develop their businesses.
The initiative is organised by GIZ through the Agri-Business Facility for Africa (ABF) and MOVE-ComCashew projects as part of the Business Support Facility for Resilient Agricultural Value Chains.
It is jointly supported by the European Union, the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) and Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
What Winners Receive
Successful applicants may receive one of the programme’s kickstart prizes:
- €2,000 in direct funding to support their business; or
- A laptop, tablet or software to strengthen business operations.
The initiative seeks to help emerging cashew businesses become more investment-ready while developing climate-smart and resilient business models.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Be based in an OACPS member state
- Have an innovative agribusiness idea connected to any part of the cashew value chain
Applicants do not pay an application fee, and the required online training is also free.
How to Apply
Participation requires applicants to first complete the prescribed e-MOVE learning pathway on atingi.
Applicants should:
- Complete Introduction to Conservation Agriculture
- Complete Creating an Investment-Ready Agribusiness
- Develop an AgriCanvas using the Business Model Canvas provided in the course
- Submit the completed business idea through the official application form
A valid certificate ID from the Creating an Investment-Ready Agribusiness course is required. Applications submitted without the certificate ID will not be accepted.
The application also asks candidates to explain the climate-smart or resilience component of their idea, describe how the business will generate revenue, and estimate the capital required to launch or scale it.
Each applicant may submit only one business idea per submission window.
Successful applicants are expected to be contacted by mid-December 2026.
