Applications are open for the SDG Innovation Summit Malaysia 2026, bringing together young leaders, innovators, students, entrepreneurs, researchers and professionals from around the world for four days of learning, networking and collaboration in Kuala Lumpur.
Organised by the Global Youth Network (GYN), the summit will take place from November 19–22, 2026 at Teedo Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
The programme will explore ideas and initiatives connected to the Sustainable Development Goals, with particular attention to Quality Education, Gender Equality, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and Climate Action.
The programme is offering 30 scholarships.
The top 15 selected applicants will receive fully funded places, covering:
- Round-trip airfare support
- Accommodation on a twin-sharing basis
- Meals and refreshments
- Visa fees
- Summit participation
- Visa invitation letter
- GYN toolkit and merchandise
- Speaking opportunity
- Participation certificate
- Kuala Lumpur sightseeing
- Asia Pacific University campus visit
A further 15 applicants will receive partially funded places, covering accommodation, meals, summit participation, visa supporting documents, the institutional visit and other programme activities. Airfare and visa fees are not listed among the partial-scholarship benefits.
Applicants submit a single scholarship application and can be considered for either category.
There is an US$18.50 application fee for the scholarship application.
$1,000 Seed Grant
Participants will also have an opportunity to compete for a US$1,000 Seed Grant to support an innovative project or social-impact initiative.
Projects may be at the idea, pilot, implementation or more developed stage.
Who Can Apply?
- Applications are open worldwide to people aged 17–50 from all educational and professional backgrounds.
- Eligible applicants include students, graduates, volunteers, changemakers, social entrepreneurs and professionals.
- Applicants should demonstrate leadership potential, interest in the Sustainable Development Goals and a clear motivation for participating. A 250–300-word personal statement is required.
- Previous volunteering or leadership experience is preferred but is not mandatory, and IELTS or TOEFL scores are not required.
Applicants must be available to attend the summit in Kuala Lumpur from November 19–22, 2026.
