Closing on: Oct 1, 2026

SMEs, cooperatives, social enterprises, NGOs, and public and private sector entities operating in any of the 101 Common Fund for Commodities (CFC) member countries are invited to submit funding applications under the 29th Call for Proposals. The CFC invests in high-impact projects that strengthen smallholder livelihoods, drive inclusive local development, and align commercial viability with environmental regeneration and social inclusion.

About the Fund

The Common Fund for Commodities is an intergovernmental financial institution with 101 member countries, focused on transforming agricultural value chains in ways that benefit the smallholder farmers and communities at their foundation. The 29th Call reflects CFC’s vision of value chains where technology empowers people, local enterprises grow, and the prosperity generated flows equitably to smallholders, workers, and their communities. Projects must be financially viable, and applicants must have a minimum of three years of operational history demonstrating relevant experience and capacity.

Priority Areas

The CFC welcomes applications across six general priority areas:

  • Trade finance connecting smallholder farmers with global markets
  • Regenerative agriculture and biodiversity protection
  • Local value addition with low environmental impact
  • Agtech and digital tools for inclusive, sustainable, and transparent value chains
  • Improving financial access for smallholder farmers
  • Women’s entrepreneurship and business solutions with a gender lens

The CFC particularly encourages applications focused on the sustainable use and conservation of forest resources in the Congo Basin region, covering Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and the Republic of Congo. Proposals from or focused on Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries, and Small Island Developing States are treated as priority applications.

Who Can Apply

Eligible applicants include SMEs, cooperatives, social enterprises, NGOs, and public or private sector entities that are based or have active operations in a CFC member country. A full list of member countries is available here. Applicants must have at least three years of operational history and projects must demonstrate financial viability alongside development impact.
