“la Caixa” Foundation Child Survival Call 2026 for Organisations Working in Sub-Saharan Africa [Deadline: May 26]

Nonprofit networks working to reduce maternal and child mortality across sub-Saharan Africa are invited to apply for the Child Survival Call 2026, an initiative by the “la Caixa” Foundation. Aligned with SDG 3, which aims to end preventable deaths of newborns and children under five by 2030 and SDG 17 on partnerships for sustainable development, the Call funds collaborative projects that address some of the most critical gaps in maternal, neonatal, and child health across the region.

Who Can Apply:

The Call is open to networks of three to five entities that must include:

  • At least one Spanish, Portuguese, and/or international non-profit organisation
  • At least one entity from the country of implementation

Eligible countries: Angola, Ethiopia, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Uganda

Eligible project types:

  • Maternal health — projects improving women’s health during pregnancy, childbirth, and puerperium
  • Neonatal health — projects improving the health of newborns from birth through the first 28–30 days of life
  • Child health — projects improving the health of children aged one month to five years
