Aspiring entrepreneurs ready to build organisations that scale proven solutions to extreme poverty are invited to apply for the D-Prize Global Competition 2026. Winning teams receive up to $20,000 to launch a new venture — whether an NGO, charity, or for-profit organisation — focused on distributing evidence-based interventions in health, agriculture, livelihoods, and beyond.
D-Prize funds new organisations focused on distributing proven, evidence-based poverty interventions. Most awardees are first-time entrepreneurs who have not yet launched or raised outside funding. The grant supports a three-month pilot, giving selected teams the runway to test, learn, and prove their model before scaling further.
Applicants from low- and middle-income countries are especially encouraged to apply.
Who Can Apply:
- New organisations or first-time entrepreneurs who have not yet launched or raised outside funding
- Organisations with no more than 18 months of full-time operations
- Organisations that have raised no more than $30,000 in outside funding
- Existing organisations considered only if their core focus is distributing an existing, proven poverty intervention
- Applicants from low- and middle-income countries are strongly encouraged
Strong candidates are those who:
- Are ambitious and ready to build a venture with real-world impact

- Can commit to going full-time if the pilot succeeds
What Winners Receive:
- Up to $20,000 to support a three-month pilot
