About the Programme

The Google for Startups Accelerator: South Africa is part of Google’s global accelerator programme supporting technology startups with technical expertise, training and access to Google’s products and networks.

Each cohort includes 10–15 startups that participate in a combination of virtual and in-person sessions, including technical workshops, expert mentoring, group learning and sprint projects.

The programme focuses on helping founders address major technical challenges, improve their products and build stronger growth strategies.

Who Can Apply

The accelerator is designed for South African-led growth-stage technology startups that meet the following criteria:

  • The business has a significant market opportunity and defensible growth model.
  • The company uses or plans to use technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning.
  • The CEO, CTO and relevant technical team members can commit to participating in all programme activities.
