African innovators, researchers, developers, startups, and organisations building AI solutions that advance disability inclusion are invited to apply for the HAIDI Innovation Track — an 18-month catalytic support programme by the Hub for Artificial Intelligence and Disability Inclusion (HAIDI), part of the AI4D Africa initiative. Selected ventures receive grants of up to KES 5,000,000 (or USD equivalent), alongside hands-on technical, product, and scaling support grounded in direct engagement with disability communities across the continent.
People with disabilities continue to face significant barriers in accessing services, opportunities, and information — often because systems are not designed with accessibility in mind. AI presents a genuine opportunity to close that gap, but only when developed responsibly, with direct input from disability communities and grounded in inclusive design principles.
The HAIDI Innovation Track supports post-MVP AI innovations already in use, with demonstrated potential to scale impact. Selected ventures will work closely with disability communities across Africa to test, refine, and strengthen their solutions — ensuring they are usable, relevant, and impactful in real-world contexts.

Solutions must be post-MVP and already in use — concept-stage applications are not eligible.
