UNESCO-UNEVOC Skills in Action Photo Competition 2026 — Win Up to USD 750 for Photography Celebrating Youth Skills and TVET [Deadline: August 31]

Amateur and professional photographers aged 18 and above from anywhere in the world are invited to submit entries for the UNESCO-UNEVOC Skills in Action Photo Competition 2026 — an annual competition celebrating the transformative role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in preparing young people with the skills needed for the future. Cash prizes of up to USD 750 are on offer, alongside official recognition and publication through UNESCO-UNEVOC’s global platforms.

About the Competition

The Skills in Action Photo Competition invites photographers to capture inspiring moments that demonstrate how TVET contributes to innovation, inclusion, sustainability, and youth employment. Participants may submit up to four photographs — one per category — with entries evaluated on relevance, originality, creativity, and the effectiveness with which they communicate their message.

Competition Categories:

  • Equity and Inclusion — Photographs showing that skills development opportunities are available to everyone regardless of gender, ethnicity, nationality, socio-economic status, or disability
  • Green Skills and Sustainability — Images spotlighting resource-efficient technologies, sustainable practices, or green jobs
  • Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence — Photographs of young people engaged in coding, robotics, virtual reality, or the use of AI tools
  • Innovation and Excellence — Images highlighting innovative training and skills that improve quality, productivity, and efficiency

Prizes:

  • 1st Prize: USD 750
  • 2nd Prize: USD 500
  • 3rd Prize: USD 350

Winners also receive:

  • An official UNESCO-UNEVOC certificate
  • Publication of their work on the UNESCO-UNEVOC Flickr account
  • Promotion through UNESCO-UNEVOC’s global social media channels

Note: All submitted photographs become the property of UNESCO-UNEVOC and may be used in future publications, media campaigns, and promotional materials.

Who Can Participate:

  • Open to amateur and professional photographers aged 18 and above
  • You must be the owner or copyright holder of submitted photographs
  • Open globally — no geographic restrictions

How to Submit:

  1. Complete and sign the official submission form
  2. In the email subject line, include your last name followed by “SAPC26 Submission” — e.g. Muller – SAPC26 Submission
  3. Attach the completed submission form and photograph(s) to the email
  4. If files are too large, provide a publicly accessible cloud storage link
  5. Email submissions to: unevoc.skills@unesco.org

Maximum of one entry per category — up to four submissions total.
