Organised by Africa Health Tech and co-hosted by the Africa CDC and Africa Health ExCon, the programme equips founders with the mentorship, tools, seed funding, and ecosystem access needed to build market-ready solutions for Africa’s most pressing healthcare challenges.
About the Programme
The Africa Health-Tech Accelerator bridges the gap between innovation and commercialisation — taking early-stage health-tech startups from concept validation to investor readiness through a structured, execution-driven curriculum. The programme culminates in a Demo Day where selected startups pitch before a distinguished network of investors, policymakers, and industry leaders across the continent.
Health-Tech Innovation Areas
- Digital Healthcare: Telemedicine and virtual care, digital health platforms, electronic health records, and hospital management systems.
- Data and Intelligent Technologies: Health data and analytics, artificial intelligence in healthcare, and remote patient monitoring.
- Medical and Pharmaceutical Innovation: Medical devices and diagnostics, drug development technologies, and pharmaceutical supply chain solutions.
- Access, Prevention and Health Services: Health insurance and financing technologies, and preventive health and wellness technologies.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum of two founders
- Early-stage startup with at least an MVP
- Launching or validating a new health-related product or service
- Able to commit to attending at least 80% of programme sessions
