Bank of Uganda @60 Hackathon 2026 for Ugandan Students — Win Up to UGX 15 Million [Deadline: June 15]

Bank of Uganda is inviting students from registered institutions across Uganda to participate in the BOU@60 Hackathon, a national innovation challenge aimed at harnessing the creativity and technical skills of young innovators to develop solutions that address real-world challenges.

Organised as part of the central bank’s 60th anniversary celebrations, the hackathon provides an opportunity for students with backgrounds in software development, technology, and innovation to showcase their talents, collaborate with peers, and contribute ideas that could shape the future of Uganda’s digital economy.

The competition will bring together student innovators from across the country to develop practical, technology-driven solutions while gaining valuable experience in problem-solving, teamwork, and innovation.

Prize Awards

Outstanding teams will compete for cash prizes:

  • Winner: UGX 15 million
  • 1st Runners-up: UGX 12 million
  • 2nd Runners-up: UGX 8 million
